Firearms Application

Firearms Applications can now be filled out online using the NJSP Online Firearms Application form. You must live within the Borough of Wildwood Crest to submit and application for Wildwood Crest.


To submit this form, click on the "NJ FARS" link below and begin filing out the application. The first tab will ask for the Jurisdictions ORI.

​Helpful Information:

-If you submit an application and made an error, please contact the detective division for assistance.  Do not submit another application.


-Prior to filling out the application, make sure you have the proper spelling of all information for references including their email address


-If you have never been fingerprinted before for firearms purposes, you will need to go for fingerprinting. Fingerprinting appointment can be  scheduled at   https://uenroll.identogo.com/workflows/2F164B after successful submission the FARS form. However, if you have been fingerprinted before for firearm purposes, upon completion of this form and payment, you will have completed both S.T.S 033 and 212A requirements.


-All applications that include "Permits to Purchase a Handgun" submitted from October 01, 2020 onwards will receive an electronic purchase permit "E-Permit" upon application approval. These applicants will no longer receive a paper permit to purchase a handgun. All NJ Retail Firearms Dealers will be able to execute E-Permits for application submitted from October 01, 2020 onwards. Payment will still be required to our police department prior to authorizing the permit.
