JUVENILE TASK FORCE

The Wildwood Crest Juvenile Task Force is a division of the Police Department.  This unit, partially funded by a state grant, operates as the primary coordinator of all juvenile related activities in the community.  The unit is headed by Sgt. Thomas Hunt and consists of four additional patrol officers.

The goal of the JVTF is to establish positive interaction between juveniles of the community and the police department.  The JVTF attempts to make contact with juveniles to advise them of community events, recreational activities, and any positive function that can establish a trusting rapport with the youths.

The JVTF works in close cooperation with the Crest Memorial School and regularly visits both classrooms as well as school events.  The Juvenile Task Force, or JVTF, has a police presence at such events:

National Night Out Against Crime

Adopt-A-Cop in School Program

D.A.R.E.

Community Events

⇒Movie Night

Sporting Events

Questions or comments about the JVTF can be directed to

 Sgt. Thomas Hunt.
