SLEO I EMPLOYMENT
During the busy summer season, the Wildwood Crest Police Department increases its staffing by employing Class I Special Law Enforcement Officers (SLEO I) to assist with the increase in population and traffic related issues. SLEO I Officers working for the Wildwood Crest Police Department are responsible for various responsibilities. Some of the responsibilities include:
- Beach Patrol
- Parking Enforcement
- Traffic Control
- Crowd Control
SLEO I Officers must be able to run, jump, swim, and at times ride a bicycle. They must also possess a valid driver's license
The position of SLEO I is not a Civil Service Position.
